No thats the fee for documents in Canada. I don't know how much it would be in El Salvador but I can't find any certified translators there...
I do believe that if you apply for an open work permit at the same time you send in your sponsorship application, the permit will be issued as soon as first stage approve is acheived and than they can work anywhere. That is provided it is an inland application. If it is from outside of Canada, they would have to get a work permit with a job offer/LMO etc.
Well certainly if your spouse is in another country and its those documents that need translating the best way to find a certified translator is to contact the consulate and find one they recommend or use. That is how we did it here in Egypt. Costs are much more reasonable than Canadian translators .. just my two cents.. to each his/her own.. After having several documents it all adds up lol
jdwhite21, shop around! You can definitely find a certified translator that will translate for way less than $100.=! That's absolutely ridiculous! I had my husband's documents translated from spanish for $30 a document.
I'll see if I can find someone I know that has a contact in Alberta that can get that done for you.
Thank you very much msgomez.
Ye, I could only find 2 certified translators in AB and they both charged the same and said they would take like a week per document. If you could find somebody that would be much appreciated.
