happytrip, I am so sorry to hear this. This is what happened to my application last year. The application arrived on Jan 3, 2014 using my credit card as form of payment. The agent processed my credit card on Jan 19 and entered the wrong security code twice! CIC sent my application back stating that the security code was incorrect. I was so panic and rushed to the bank to get a money order and sent the file back the next morning. Unfortunately, I didn't meet the cap when it arrived for the second time. I contacted the credit card company and asked them to send a letter stating that it was merchant error - but by the time they sent me the letter it was too late

I am still upset thinking about it. This year I ended up using "certified cheque" because I don't want the same thing to happen again.
Hopefully you can get a hold of them and get them to try again.
