Now I have a question.
Fromm IMM 0008 line #3 it asks "How many people are in this application including yourself"
That would be 2 father and mother.??
IMM 5768E asks on box 3 also "Number of persons from line 3 from the generic application form IMM 0008 which would be 2 (mom and pop).
this would be added to the total family.??
Plus your spouse and any children in your house.
I have no previous undertakings nor does my wife.
We have 2 children so I calculated line 7 on IMM 5768E to be as follows,
my wife, ,myself, 2 children and 2 parents for a total of 6 people for determining the min financial income.
Was I incorrect??
thanks. :-[ :-[
your calculation for Line 7 is correct

I was responding to another question regarding employment history (Section 15) in which they ask about your current family size. You don't have to necessarily include the parents being sponsored in the column for Family size.

My application was delivered to the CIC at 12 o'clock on Jan 2, 2015. I am so depressed right now because I just realised that I put family size 4 (including my parents who we would like to sponsor) in the section 15 on IMM5768 instead of 2 according to XENON's answer for GLASS77's question. I thought it should be the same as section 7 on the form. Will my application be returned? What can I do to fix this? OMG... I am really getting an heart attack. I had a few sleepless nights for this application.
If everything else is correct and nothing is missing, I think you should be ok. I doubt they would reject an application for such a small (and probably common) mistake. Don't worry about it...

It shouldn't matter much. They will not reject your application because of that.
Thanks,Xenon! You make me feel so much better now!

I did same as you. I was confused when I filled up the family size in the section 15. Then
Rossei clarified as follows: Not SURE who is right!
"CIC wants to see your income has been constantly meeting LICO+30% for whole family size (your present family + sponsored parents) for last 3 taxation years (2011, 2012 & 2013).
Suppose you were single in 2011, got married in 2012. You're thinking to put family size 1 in 2011, 2 in 2012 and 2 ( Huh) in 2013? Then, where does your parent(s) count? If you include your parent(s) in 2013; that contradicts your logic because your parent(s) haven't come to Canada in 2013 for CIC. With this, you cannot put the whole family size for any of the years of 2011, 2012 or 2013.
Therefore, you should put Your own family size + Sponsored parent(s) everywhere in the forms wherever it asks for. This question has been answered several times before in this topic after consultation with CIC call centre agents. In fact. all the questions on this page have been discussed before. Please, turn back and see."
Can I hand deliver my application?
I live in Oakville and it is a short drive from my place ?
Thanks for responding!

No - you can't. The public isn't allowed into the building and there is no drop box. The only options are to either mail or courier your application.

Since you're in Oakville, I would suggest using local courier same day service.

By doing this you basically surpass the minimum income requirements.
This gives you some extra income credits as to say.
Even if I put 4 or 6 for family size to calculate the minimum income I feel it would not matter to CIC.
They would see my taxable income from lines 150 for 2011 2012 2013 and it easily passes the benchmark.
I was also told not to add the extra 30% to the minimum income that CIC requires for you to support the family.
I did by mistake?? and added the extra 30% and I still would qualify.
But I guess time will tell.
Do they accept photocopy of Option C or NOA? :

I sent photocopies of my Option C. I made photocopies as a back up. The first app which included originals was recalled by me due to incorrect payment form, and then I submitted the 2nd application with the back up Option C copy the next day.

Hope there wont be a problem.

Why would you send photocopies of option C copies when you can get originals for free from CRA. I hope your application won't get returned due to not being original as listed in the checklist.

I did send the originals in my first application posted Dec 31 but had to recall it from Fedex because CIC does not accept money order. I posted a second one with photocopies. CIC did not specify that "original" is required on the checklist. Also, there is nothing indicating the original nature of this document, it was just a computer printout from CRA.
