There're about 60 people in line and each carry around 30-50 packages. And more people keep adding to the line. That's why it takes so long.

I will be lucky to have it in 5000 apps. This quote seems getting filled up by today itself anytime.
In case thier are 60 people with 50 packages in line. That is 3000 already :'( :'( :'(

5000 caps is for complete application, ie. all forms are filled and signed, and all required document is submitted.
There's probably only half of what they receive today is "good enough" to be included in the 5000 cap.
So don't be too worried.

I just called Purolator who says the latest update they got is that the driver is in the line up. They can't contact him though as their pagers are in their vans. Just have to hope he's close to the front now. Crazy.

I hope what you say is right. The Purolator lady ask me to check after 2 hours on the status. The same day delivery have none
Online tracking info. They charge 35.85 + per hour rate on wait in line. More wait in line, more charging. I will came to know about cost
in the end of day

Smart people uses local couriers service near the destination itself . I feel dumb.

Sent on Dec 31st by Fedex Overnight Express delivery delivers by 12:00PM. Just got the notification file has been delivered with signatures.

I paid $128 to use Purolator Same Day (2 hr) service and the driver is still in line with my package!!
It was supposed to be delivered by 10:30 but the courier companies that Purolator outsourced did not have waybills on the packages and apparently "CPC is making a change in policy" (not sure what this means).

I feel sick to my stomach!!

Get a certified cheque or use your credit card. Certified cheque is NOT a money order. Its your own personal cheque that is certified. CIC is very specific in the form of payment for a reason. Its another way to assess your financial capability.

Do you think my package will get returned once they see that I submitted a money order instead of certified cheque? It was delivered today could not stop the shipment.

My second package with credit card payment is on the way and will be delivered on Monday.

When i submitted my application in Fedex Vancouver, the rep told me she has got so many more mails to go to Mississauga that day (was working on 4 in front of me). I assume all of them were for Parents sponsorship. When you think about the number of couriers and people in line today, i think the 5000 cap will be filled today or Monday.

Yes - I think you should expect your first application to be refused. However hopefully your second application will arrive in time.
