Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If a Canadian parent living outside Canada sponsors his/her child for permanent residence then there is a requirement that Canadian parent will have to live with his/her child in Canada once the child gets the status of permanet resident. My question is for HOW LONG Canadian parent will have to stay in Canada with his/her child? It shall be highly appreciated if I could get any references in this regard.

Sponsoring if you live outside Canada
If you are a Canadian citizen living outside Canada, you can sponsor a spouse, a common-law partner or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no children of his or her own. However, you must show that you will live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.

No specific period of time is stated but if the visa office is not convinced that intent to return is genuine, they will refuse the application. The onus is on the sponsor to provide satisfactory evidence.
