Hi there, i have a question on sponsoring dependent child. My husband wants to sponsor his dependent child who is 16 years old. He landed in canada on his PR after our marriage, its been 2 years now (i sponsored). Now if he wants to bring his dependent child can he do it? or should he complete 5 years in Canada? Child's biological mother has signed the declaration for non-accompanying parent for minors form. Please help.
Thanks

Hi Scylla, thank you for your reply. But i just wanted to clarify something. I happened to come across the below when i was googling.. pasting it for you.
There are certain situations that can result in a parent being ineligible to sponsor their child:
If the parent was sponsored to become a permanent resident of Canada less than five years prior to an application to sponsor.
So this made me question. So he can start his application to bring his daughter is what you say.
