I was hoping someone has some information relating to the following question...
I am a Canadian citizen currently living in Australia. I have recently been married in Australia to an Aussie. I will apply for PR sponsorship for her outside Canada and we plan on moving to Canada prior to the outcome of the application. Is my wife able to apply for a working holiday visa after applying for PR while outside of Canada?? That way she has access to Canada without having to wait for the PR application to be approved!
Is this possible?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Hi birdguts,
I'm not an expert, but I'm an Aussie living in Montreal on a WHP Visa. I just applied common law sponsor outland (even though I am in Canada now) and am re-applying for my WHP Visa now, so I can extend my stay. Apparently this is fine - however I haven't been approved yet for my renewal so I cannot tell you for sure. I do know that when you fill out the whp forms there is a yes/no box to tick regarding whether or not you have applied for permanent residency, so if it's on the form, I think it might be quite common.
I'll get back to you when I know more.
Cheers
