Hello friends,
I applied for my wife’s dependent work permit on 19th September 2020. But no updates yet. Her medical was also expired last month on 15 th November 2020.
When she applied for her sowp at that time i have a open work permit now i got my permanent residentship last month.
So any idea about what will happen to her application?
Thanks
To clarify, this is student's spouse's SOWP application. Last 2 refusals was due to my silly mistake. I did not provide funds details and enrollment letter due to lack of knowledge of the person I worked with.
This time we took help from professional consultant and provided lot of documents to show genuine marriage. Hope they will provide the results soon.
I wish it would be positive since it has been 5 months.
Congrats!!! I applied my Students spouse SOWP in April! But haven't received any kind of update yet. Not even medical update. Just the status is application in progress.!

Sorry guys but I have no idea how they prioritize the applications. One thing I can say is, if it took long time, may be its a good sign. They don't wait long to give refusals. For my wife's case, timeline was 20 weeks when I applied. They gave reply exactly after 20 weeks. I also raised webform 40 days ago, but did not get any response.
If you feel like timeline is already over, I suggest you go for CAIPS notes/ATIP request. ATIP (Access to information) just cost $5 and it's processing time is 30 days, it will give you detailed status of your application. That's the best thing we can do while waiting.

Yeah, I guess that's the best option. I have already requested ATIP notes couple of weeks back.. hopefully will have some necessary details in that!.
Thanks buddy!

Yes GCMS notes are the best way to know the status, when did you apply for that? in addition, you can give them a call to know the status of your application. the real problem is processing is random not in sequence so can not say who will receive a decision and when.
