Hi all.
You all are very helpful and I sincerely hope that you'll assist me with my concern.

As it had been planned before I applied for the FSW program status and submitted my papers via the parcel service by the end of September 2014.
Now, at the moment I have confirmation from the courier service with proof of delivery to the Nova Scotia CIC office and ... nothing more.

Given that, I have some questions. I really hope you'll be very kind to answer them:
1. What amount of time does it usually take for CIC to process applicant's papers and make a negative/positive decision?
2. After two months of processing with no response from the Canadian site should I contact them to clear this issue or it might be considered useless/impolite/unnecessary? If yes what is the most effective way?
3. What way of communication do they usually prefer to inform candidates about their status, UCI, delays and lack of documents? Paper-mail/cell phone/e-mail/landline phone?

Thank you all in advance! :)

Hello Lears,
unfortunatelly delivery confirmation from the courier is all we have in hands after sending the file to CIO.

1. Your PER/NER letter will be issued in 3-4 months time after the delivery of application. That is when you will first hear from CIO.

2. After two months of waiting in a queue, that's more like it ;) The processing of your file hasn't been yet started since now CIO is only opening application from late August.

3. CIO will contact you via e-mail ID given in your application.

Hope this helps.
