Some EE Applicants getting rejected for upfront medical as "worker"

Just a heads-up to everyone who's done or planning to do upfront medical exam.

I'm quoting toronto_engg's post from the EE section of the forum:

Hi
so i submitted my CEC application 2-3 weeks back. I got a cancellation message from cic that my application is not complete
They mentioned:

Specifically, your application does not include the following elements:
- Upfront medical report
- Invalid medical as medical has been assessed for Temporary residence only


So the medical test i got done in toronto for me and my wife have below details:
IME type: Non - EDE
Upfront medical type - worker

Me and my wife had same status on our information sheet we submitted as proof.


I do not understand the reason they would cancel? is it because my medical type was worker?

Please share experience

I thought as long as it's non-EDE it's good for PR applications..

I just did upfront medical exam to with exactly the same thing on those two rows, non-EDE and a worker.

Do we have anybody who has experienced this, here?

It is not clear why this kind of cancellation happened. For instance, someone claimed to have got permanent residence under the category "worker" and "non-EDE":

Weird. I send my spouse medical information as requested and his own was for WP. I will see what they say. He might have to do it again.
