I mailed my application approximately 7 weeks ago, but I have yet to receive any sort of confirmation or reply from the immigration department. I should mention that I live overseas, so it may be delayed. I mailed it by express mail and I did receive confirmation it was delivered. Should I be concerned? Is there a way I can confirm that it is being processed?

When we first sent ours, we were notified two weeks after the date of sending that we had missed a form. We sent the additional form that day (14th Jan) and other than confirmation of receipt, we heard nothing until the 11th of Feb.
I know it isn't the same length of time as you are experiencing, but the first real acknowledgement of receipt we received was when sponsor was approved on the 11th of April. It may be that they are just taking time checking the completeness and accuracy of the application

Hi Craig, I can't tell you if you should be concerned or not unfortunately but to give you an idea I mailed my app from overseas on the 3/10, I saw it was signed for on the 12/10 and I didn't get confirmation from immigration until the 2/11. I know yours is a bit longer but perhaps they have changed they way they do things since the new applications came in back in Dec? I think it you received confirmation that it was delivered, that is great. Have you triple checked you gave them the correct email for yourself and checked you spam folders?
best of luck
