hi there

just wondering if anyone can help me.

i am a british citizen wanting to move to canada.
i have been told about skilled work permits, where you get a job offer and then get a work permit through this.

i am a qualified bricklayer with 12 year experiance.

at the moment i am talking with an agent in saskatoon, who tells me that he has noumerous bricklayer / mason contacts looking to employee bricklayers.

i was just wondering if any one knows if there is such agents in other provences?

or how i go about getting a job offer?

is there such thing as a skilled worker visa.

Wesley;

Start from this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/trades/index.asp and readup on the options. If you can't get in through this stream, then you may consider waiting till May 4 when they start new intake for FSW.

However, if you are sure of the agent you are talking to in Saks or any other province you are considering and you could get a job offer that is genuine and valid, then the rest is easy. A word of caution, if the agent is aking you for upfront payment to make the offer work or something of the sort, I will be weary if I was in your shoes.
