So my sister isn't able to sponsor me? Are there any other ways of getting an open work permit?
I'm able to live in Canada but I won't be able to work without apply for a work permit after getting a job offer??
Anyone know if there's a simpler way to do this or is everything extremely complicated? Thanks

She can look if any provincial nominee programs exist that you may qualify under, but they are very specific to each province.

Other than that, as mentioned you should apply for IEC working holiday visa when the program is open again.

Only other way to come to get a work visa is to have an employer go through the LMIA process for you, which is a very difficult thing to do and requires you have a pretty specific set of job kills or education that would be in demand.

I'm not sure, the company her partner works for is sorting out all their visas.

That is completely wrong.

In general you can't sponsor siblings. Only in rare cases where the PR has no spouse/kids/family in CAnada, and parents are deceased... can you sponsor a sibling.

Some provinces have Provincial Nominee programs under which people can help family members immigrate. But that depends on the province and what programs they have open. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp

My sister doesnt have a partner, other relatives, and parents are deceased.

1) Is that a different case or different type of application?
2) If so, how long does that normally take? How many months to receive the Sponsorship Approval Letter?
3) Is that through Mail or Email?
4.) will the person to be sponsored received notification or letter as well? or just the sponsor?
