@7Fifty...sorry to hear that but they have clearly mentioned that your education and work experience doesnt match...Petroleum engineering is not related to IT....btw did you check that u scored 60/100 for eligibility...if you dont mind can you share your profile u have submitted for SNIP..
I have been in this forum and actively monitoring OINP and SINP for last 1 year. I must say, that's a new addition to my knowledge base too.
However, my advise would be count your points again and check whether thats 60+. If yes, go for secondary review asap. You still have hope for OINP and NSNP. Best of luck.
@7fifty..This is what they have mentioned on their site
Have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation:
One year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades);
Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years; or
Twelve months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).
In your case u have done your graduation in petroleum engineering and you have applied as 2171 which is related to IT...I think that is the reason they have not count your work experience and that might be the reason you must have not scored minimum 60 points....I hope this helps you..best of luck for next intake...
Thanks mate! I have collected a Bank Solvency Certificate from bank manager plus updated statements for 5 accounts I showed. Send it already. On email subject I mentioned my full name, SINP EE, #application number.

After reading 7FIFTY`s case, i need someone to help me clarify this:
Can i get nomination and subsequently PPR with Bsc degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering but working in IT(NOC 2171) in the last 10 years? or is anyone in my shoes who has gotten nomination/PPR already
@lanruze ...just wait for their response sometimes it depends on case officer who is assessing ur profile...2171 is more into IT... U can also show some sort of training if u already got from ur company.....best of luck..
Current Occupation: Your present occupation
Intended Occupation: In your case should be 1225-Purchasing agent (Your current JD must align with this)
My POF was 5month old prior to my application.
Hope that helps
But my current job/occupation is purchasing which is NOC 1225, so what do they mean by 'intended occupation' are they referring to my field of study. My field of study is in general arts - Education, I majored in English.
Will my field of study and current occupation pose any problem in my application?
Thanks for your earnest response.
Hi mate...
anybody get any update for July 2016 intake??.. it seems SINP officials totally forget about us. from 31st July my application is "In Process"....
