Normally it takes 20-30 days to get acknowledgement of receipt with file number from SINP if your application is considered complete. After that you application will be in hand of an Information verification clerk who will enter your data in computer, after that your application will be in hands of a information verification analyst who will verify your information provided by you in application. (eligibility assessment). after that your application will be in hands of a immigration officer who will check the work done by information verification analyst (criteria assessment). after that your application will be in hands of a SINP manager who will check the recommendation made by immigration officer (recommendation review), SINP manager makes the decision to issue nomination to respected applicant. after nomination you CIC part begins...

The same day your application is entered on our database the letter will
be emailed to you with file number. Currently applications received Feb
7/12 are being entered, there is a very high volume of applications and
we appreciate your patience.

May I ask how many months did you recieved your nomination after you were given your file no? We also have the same application SINP family category..We recieved our file no. last Sept. 2011, until now we are still waiting for the nomination..GOD bless and thank you for sharing..
