I am new to this forum and one of the aspired candidate who is going to apply for SINP 2014 on 2nd jan. There are lots of doubt but let me start with Funds. Can LIC policies countable as a POF?

No LIC Policies cant be counted towards POF. Some one else also had the same doubt wherein they have mentioned that GIC seems similar to LIC. But wikipedia states those are similar to Term Deposits and not Life Insurance Policies

hi guys -

i have a question. i can get a general letter from my employer stating my title, compensation and dates but getting specific responsibilities is risky and i wouldnt want to take that risk. Is there there any other i can prove my current responsibilities? What if I point them to a public careers site advertising for the same job title? Also this problem is only for the current employer, I do have letters from all others.

Can I show a bank certificate with proof of funds of the past two years? I have two years stable fixed deposits. But I had lost some of my advice slip. Now I want to show a certificate from bank that I have enough fixed deposit like this.
Will it be acceptable for SINP?

You can definitely show the fixed deposits as proof of funds. I am doing the same. Make sure that you get balance certificate letter from bank mentioning fixed deposit value along with the present balance.

Experience letters with job responsibilities mentioned are highly recommended. I would go with immediate Manager's reference letter with duties mentioned if employer is not willing to give. Alternatively, if you think you claim all the points with your previous exp letters and do not need current employer's letter, then you can just submit the one without job duties mentioned.

Q4 says - Immigration office for processing application.

Is it the Visa office that handles CIC for our region, eg i am in West Africa and our visa office is Accra.

Am i to fill accra or sask has its own office or we leave it blank?

SINP January 2nd onward applicants need to mention CIO, Nova Scotia as their visa office irrespective of their country of origin. Go through the SINP program change guideline, it is mentioned.

I told my boss that I needed the letter with the specific responsabilities because I was thinking studying an Online Diploma and they were requesting that because they wanted to know if I had the right profile for that career

If you have the right age, education, experience and english level , the factor II don't apply , because Factor 1a, 1b and 1c, give you the 60 points to apply....
