I am sponsoring my soon-to-be wife for PR. We have a child, almost 3 yrs old. I was living in Canada at the time the child was born in the US, and I am a natural citizen. Do I need to sponsor my child also, or is she already a citizen (with no papers yet) and so does not need to be sponsored? If that is the case, how would I indicate it in the application?

If you were a citizen at the time the child was born, the child is a citizen too. You need to apply for a citizenship certificate for the child, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp

If your child is already a citizen, she does not need to be sponsored and will only be listed in the form for additional family information.
