Should I renew my study permit (valid until December 2022) if I now renew my passport?

Hi there,

I have a question:
I'm now a student graduating next month. My study permit is valid until December 2022. I just recently renewed my passport to make sure I get the full 3-year PGWP once graduating.
Given the fact that my study permit is valid until December and I will graduate next month, should I apply for a new study permit now that I renewed my passport?
