Thank you all for wonderful suggestions. I will have my wife to go for IELTS Test soon.

She will need IELTS Academic test to continue her education here in US and I am wondering if she can go for Academic test rather than GT which will serve both purpose.

No! Strictly general!

Hello seniors,

I have a feeling that my education point might just be more than 22 as per WES report.

The report states as follows:

Canadian Equivalency Summary: Bachelor’s Degree (4 years)

Credential analysis:
1. Canadian Equivalency: Diploma (2 years) [This is for my associate degree]
2. Canadian Equivalency: Diploma (2 years) [This is for my another associate degree]
3. Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree (4 years) [This is for my bachelor’s degree]
4. Canadian Equivalency: one year of graduate study.[This is for my master degree]

They have stated that I have master degree which is equivalent to one year of graduate study.

Also, According to Future_Canadian in my another post, I should get 22 for #2 and #3 below once I have ECAs for them.

2. Undergraduate degree completed from US(4 Years)
3. two associate degrees from two different community colleges in US. (2 Years each degree)

Will this help my case? I just need 22 instead of 21 in education points since I have 22 points in Ability in English, 11points in work and 12 points in Age.

Your post is somewhat confusing. However, I'm providing excerpt from the Guidelines which is relevant in your case.
Pls compare your ECA report and assess points accordingly.

Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal (at least one must be for a program of at least three years) 22 points

Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal 21 points

thanks you, neel-here. Sorry for the confusion, I have two associate degrees (two years each), One Bachelor’s Degree and incomplete Master degree (One year complete).

As per WES Report my Canadian equivalency summary is Bachelor’s Degree (four years).

Detailed Credential Analysis includes as follow:
For associate degree in Science: Diploma (two years) of Canadian Equivalency
For other associate degree in Science: Diploma (two years) of Canadian Equivalency
For bachelors: Bachelor’s degree: (four years) of Canadian Equivalency
For incomplete master degree: one year of graduate study of Canadian Equivalency

I know 4 years of Bachelor’s degree is 21 points and I will not get any points for my incomplete masters degree but since I have two associates degrees and one bachelor’s degree, I think I should get 22 points.

I couldn’t find any information for those who have two associates and bachelor’s degree, please let me know if anyone have any info on this.

Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal (at least one must be for a program of at least three years) - Both your Diplomas are for 2 years each which in my opinion does not qualify for 22 points.

Therefore you meet - Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal 21 points

The thing is you have 1 degree and 2 diplomas so its a little a grey area whether CIC needs both to be degrees or diplomas or a combination of either/or - in which case you may qualify for 22 points.

incomplete Master degree (One year complete).

You won't get any credit or points for the incomplete Master's degree. You only get points for what you completed.

Thank you all.

I appreciate the quick turn around.

My wife is going for IELTS GT on Aug 02 and by the time we have her report, hopefully there will still be some seat available for NOC 2171.

Thanks again, you all are the best!!!

Regards,
BikBis

Its been almost 45 days since I sent my FSW package (NOC 2171) but haven't got the package back yet.

I didn't include ECA report and a passport copy of my child so I know for sure I will be getting this package back but just don't know when.

since I have everything ready (except IELTS results of my wife, she is schedule for the test on July 19th), Should I resubmit my application or wait until I receive the package back or until she has her IELTS score?

My wife should have her IELTS results by August 9th, She is doing this just in case we came short on points required.

Should I wait until August? will that be too late ? or just submit the package now and hope that my points are enough?

If you want to claim points for your wife's IELTS score you HAVE to include her IELTS Results in original. Don't make the same mistake twice.

I agree 2171 is a little tight (though not as bad as 2174 etc) but you still have to complete the Mandatory documents before submitting your application otherwise its pointless.

Thank you all,

My wife is going for the IELTS on July 19th and we should get results by Aug 10th. Hopefully, there will still be some caps left for 2171 by then (praying for it).

Thanks and regards,
