I applied Non-SDS from Nepal and my application is being Processed in New Delhi. Judging by the ongoing situation, let's say if I get approved by August 6, the passport won't be stamped until much later. So, is it a good idea to defer or should I wait?

Wait, depending on your university's deadline. For eg, mine is 06 August so I will wait till the last day if I have to.
