My spousal sponsor and I just received the following email from CIC Pre-Landing:
"We are ready to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR). In order to finalize your permanent residence, you may present yourself to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office listed below within 30 days ...
...When you arrive at the IRCC office in Montreal to become a PR, you will be interviewed by an immigration officer. Each person will then be asked to sign his or her CoPR document. "
Is this typical to need to be interviewed before receiving Confirmation of Permanent Residence? should we be prepared to be thoroughly interrogated in separate rooms, or is it just a quick interview?

Everyone gets these interviews. No need to worries. There won't be any interrogation. I was single when I did it, but I don't think they will separate the two of you. It's mostly about confirming dates and information, like when you entered Canada, ... etc. Relax.
