I have been offered admission in MASc program at a university. Now they are asking for original degree and transcript. As my fellow Pakistanis now that we have only one official degree, should I sent it? I am confused because of two reasons: first, it seems risky to send it via mail and second, I don't know if I will need the original again for Visa processing or to show the Visa Officer if required.
Should I ask the Uni to accept Attested Copies from HEC / Registrar ?
Hi Sharp, I´m not from Pakistan, but don´t send your originals NEVER EVER NEVER. Contact them and see if they accept scanned copies of the original, certifies copies or something else. For what I've researched nothing you send gets back to you, so you will most likely lose your originals. Can´t you request an additional copy? I had to go back to my university and get a copy of my analytic program for WES, since whatever you send them they keep.
sharp donot send ur original degree or transcript.but u should go ur university and ask them to provide u another transcript or degree and sealed in university envelop singn and stemp by registrar. and then send it to university address by post using dhl, tcs, fedex etc services.and university take some charges from u!
becuse document u send university does not returned it!
No. There is only one official copy, which is not reissued whatsoever. However, I can ask the Registrar to certify a Photocopy and seal it in an envelope.
and i think even if you send you orignal transcript they will not accept it is send from university in sealed envelop .. all other transcript are not acceptable so be sure when you doing this ... go to university ask your registrar for transcript copy and put in university envelop and stamp on closing side so stamp cover both half and then put tape on seal and then you university will accept it .. so best of luck

Don't send your originals in! If you want, you can get a certified true copy of your degree (I'm assuming you mean paper diploma?)
What I did for my application was to have my diploma photocopied then certified by a notary public.
Don't send originals .....never never
Ask ur university whether they accept photocopies of transcript and certificate verified by notary public
If not then u can do this
first photocpy ur documents then certify by issuing officer of home university then put in envelope,,,, then sign at flap cover by register .....seal the flap...
