I thought, the processing time is the average time for applications actually processed, regardless of when they were submitted. Not sure, if my understanding is correct. If it is, that doesn’t seem like a good news

Agreed, it's not good news. I applied on 27th April and am expecting to get portal 1 soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I can see the results around the 9th of April but not after that.

@Active_123 Yes you are correct, it is the average processing time. With my understanding and based on my case, from April 2024 to Feb 2025 (until Final Decision & P1/P2) it has at least 11 months average to process (during April 2024). It took 10 months for the whole process and within 11 months average processing time.
Our application in is queue on the date you filled your application and the VO needs to act on the application when it was submitted.
As far as I believe since the last filling for RNIP is August 2024, the average processing time was still 11 months. If your application is beyond 11 months already that is the time you should be following-up with IRCC.

No updates yet, contacted IRCC a few times and they have everything they need, so not sure why it’s taking so long. I am just getting worried. how about you?

I had my ADR in August'24 and I submitted everything they asked for. So today, when I opened my GC key account there was a message that your profile was updated but there was no update in the application nor I received any Email.
I spoke to IRCC yesterday, they informed me that they are currently working on my background check. They told me IRCC conducts 4 types of background check criminal, security, medical, biometrics and there is no specific order to it. I was informed that they are currently working on 2 of my background checks but they haven't been completed. FYI- my Primary visa office is Winnipeg. so, since they conducted your medical and biometrics, I am assuming they might be working on the other 2 background checks for you. Which Visa office is processing your file, if you don't mind me asking.
