It is still in progress on the GCKey. Based on the GCMS notes, criminality is still in-progress. I hope to receive updates this month or early next month.

The processing time for the work permit is about 119 days (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...vices/application/check-processing-times.html). But when you've applied for the extension, you will receive a temporary document up to approximately 5-6months, letting you to continue working while the work permit is processing.

I applied for work permit extension on June 25, 2024 and it was extended till Dec. 21, 2024. My permit expiration is July 30, 2024. So it was extended 6 months.
