Hi all,
I am applying for the " Inland Canada spouse PR Application" for my wife.
What should we write in the Parent's
name in IMM 5406 (Family Information) and IMM 5669. (Background)
My wife passport has parents' names as "First and Last Name" (e.g, Dinesh Arora and Neeru Arora)
her parent's passport has Given Name as "First Middle and Last Name " (e.g, Dinesh Brijlal Arora and Neeruben Dinesh Arora)
Our marriage certificate also shows her father's name as "First Middle and Last Name "(e.g, Dinesh Brijlal Arora)
Her birth certificate shows her parent's names as " Dinesh Brijlal Arora and Neeruben"
while she came on a student visa she filled parents' information as per her passport "First and Last Name" (e.g, Dinesh Arora and Neeru Arora)
I am confused should I write as per her passport or as per her parents passport.
Hi,
Based on my experience, I suggest you complete all application forms as written on her passport.

Write all details as per her passport. Because If you do not put info as per her passport, you would not be able to link your Gckey with your file. And there can be issues in finding her application too. I am facing this issue right now, because I put some info from other document instead of passport.

Just got her biometrics submitted this past Friday (March 7th). It was a quick in and out of 5 minutes since the office wasn't busy at all and I ended up paying for an hour of parking for no reason.
Application Status Tracker still shows Biometrics as "In Progress" for now.. hopefully there's an update this week.

Forgot to mention, but the status tracker updated the Biometrics portion to "Complete" on the next business day, Monday 03/09. This was just a ghost update.
Background verification is still in progress, and Medical has yet to be requested (but I don't think it's going to be required)
Hi! Here's my timeline so far.

Submitted Visitor Record Application (as a precaution for proof of Visitor Status): July 22, 2024
Visitor Record Approval: August 16, 2024
Application Submitted: September 26, 2024
AOR: October 29, 2024
SOWP Application Submitted: October 30, 2024
BIL: November 22, 2024
Pre-Arrival Services Letter: November 23, 2024
AIP: November 25, 2024
SOWP Application Approval: November 25, 2024
Biometrics Completed: December 13, 2024
Background Check and Biometrics have been “in progress” since. Portal shows they have not received my fingerprints even though it shows my Biometrics Number and Expiry Date. Read on Reddit that this is pretty normal and I am basically in the "radio silence" part of my application. Such an awkward period of nothing lol.
Waiting for Medicals Request and anything else.
Ghost Update: March 17, 2025
Earlier this month I was accepted to attend a University here. Has anyone applied for a Study Permit (and was approved) while waiting for their PR Application decision?

I was expecting PR to arrive till june or july this year, so I was planning to study further, but now plans have changed and I have seen that most of the people have changed their plans because of IRCC's long processing times. IRCC took three months [ arpil, may, june ] to process May files, lets see when our turn comes.
Getting too tired of waiting lol.. I was looking over at the October 2024 thread (since our application was submitted at 12am on October 1st, but IRCC says they received it on September 30th) just to compare and there's later applications that are getting COPRs
I was looking through all of our immigration related documents. Wife did a medical exam before coming to Canada on a student visa. Should I submit a webform request get that included? PR tracker shows 'Not Started' for Medical.
We did, and they included it. Reply was within 1 business day.
They may request a new one for us since his was expired but technically still valid due to an exception during COVID, but according to a paralegal friend, it doesn't hurt to try.

Submitted the old IME via the web form on 04/22. Then it turned out that I didn't actually attach it (you have to click that blue upload button!). They replied on 4/25 so I re-uploaded the IME properly this time. Now tracker just says "We've received your enquiry" and nothing else.
