Hi - although my application was not submitted in September, I would like to request some information here please.

Date of submission: 25th November 2023
My status: PR
Spouse: In India
AoR: 6th January
Medical: 23rd January

My question - is it normal to receive medical request before biometric? What is normal duration between medical request, biometric and COPR?

Hi all,

I have submitted an application in September 30, 2023. The last update on my PR tracker was December 27 saying Background check in progress and eligibility not started yet, but up until now I haven't heard anything or no updates since then. And I tried to link my application to GCkey account but nothing shows. Should contact IRCC or get a GCMS notes since I am outside Canada? Thanks for your response.

There was a ghost update on Nov 23rd and no update since then. On the excel tracker, I see some Sept and even Oct applicants receiving Pre Arrival letters. What is a pre arrival letter? How important is this? And how do we know our Visa office? Is it ideal to speak to an IRCC agent for any updates at this point?

Hi ! Pre arrival is basically sent to those who are done with their eligibility.
Your visa office would be mentioned in your Sponsor approval email.
And if you wish to, you can speak with an agent. But again , it’s just a waiting game !
