Hi Folks, Just received an update in status on our online application "We've been scheduled to attend our citizenship ceremony & oath on May 10, 2023" We had passed Citizenship test in Feb 2nd week, LPP was completed last week, AoR Oct end, applied Sep end. Mississauga Office.

Thanks. Completed Test on 6th Feb. It was updated on tracker on 10th Feb.

I am curious, what do they check in the LPP process?
I would have assumed background checks to take more time than LPP.

I was asked to re-calculate my physical presence - seems like agent was confused with dates mentioned in application [I had given US address even after PR landing formalities were complete]. Though I didn't make any changes to physical presence, I put in more description and sent the updated, it was accepted.

I think for prohibitions they might do something like what FBI does [though I don't fully understand its difference with background, I was asked to submit finger print]

I mean language and PP is pretty straight forward. Prohibitions I think is more of that you never served prison nor have any criminal records.

Are you allowed to have friends attend the ceremony? Does your letter say anything about that?

Hi Guys
Finally, Got Oath invite today
I got tracker update for oath ceremony on 20th April. Tracker updated on 30th march, however, thr real update showing 28th march.

note: for some reason i was awake last night, i think someone mentioned that system update usually happened at 2 or 3 Am EST, however, when i logged in around 3.30,nothing was there.
I logged in again after 5 AM without any hope, but it showed the update, so i expect that system update happened around 4 or 5 AM EST.
