Please do not send any original documents (unless asked specifically).
Black and White or Color copy is just fine.

Yes I got that email yesterday but its only a prospective application number. It says in the email that "We have received your application, and will advise whether your application is complete or is missing required documents." From what I understand you still have to wait for the official AOR to link your application.

Hello Everyone. IRCC received my app on the 4th Sept and later on the 18th I also got an email for biometrics fees which I paid. A few days back, they also sent me a letter with a prospective appl number. I have also applied for OWP with my PR application. How long will it take for OWP? Any idea.

I believe it's a temporary number and can't be used to link the application online.

If it starts with an "X" it's a temp number. If it doesn't it's your actual one you can use to link.

While filing for Visitor Extension:
In your Client Letter/Letter of Explanation what reason did you give for filing this Visitor Extension?
Did you clearly state, that you have already applied for the Spousal PR and OWP? And that this Visitor extension is to maintain legal status in Canada until a decision is made on OWP/PR?
Or did you give some generic reason in relation to Covid-19 etc?

My application sent on Sep 4th and received by IRCC on the 8th.
I am currently living in Canada as an international student, and my study permit will expire on January 31.
I really hope to get my OWP until January, but seems I have to switch study permit to visitor visa since IRCC works very slow.
