I have applied for my citizenship on 2020 September from Toronto. I got my background check completed on 5 of December 2021 does anyone have an idea about the average time duration between background check and citizenship test in current situation. It will help me a lot.

I don't have a accurate number as we are not calculating this value. But a quick sampling of about 40 records gives a figure of 100 days where the test invite was after the BG complete. There are quite a few cases where the test invite was before the BG complete as well.

You do seem to be lagging behind as many September applicants had BG complete sometime in March/April 2021. I suggest that you contact IRCC by phone to get more information on your application as well as requesting GCMS notes.

I requested notes on mid December 2021, and still got nothing yet, how long it took you to receive the notes?

I ordered in November last year and have not gotten anyting yet either.

No office is allowing walk in unless you are travelling in the next 2 days then they might make an exception.

If you have proof of travel, try walking in and giving it a shot. Either ways you would need to keep your application and photos ready signed by a guarantor.

If they dont allow you to walk in, you have to submit a eService request and wait for them to call you. It took them 3 days to call me and the appointment was 1 week away even though I am travelling on 23rd, I will have to apply for urgent processing mostly.

If you book an appointment, there is no guarantee you will get one closer to where you are. In all probability you will also have to apply for urgent processing for 2 day pick up.

Thanks for sharing. This means it could be another 2 months until DM and 3 until Oath, assuming the same progress rate.

I see that you did not get Passport copies request. This is another factor that may add to the wait, if they so request.

I had same thing during last weekend. Ecas said Decision Made & new tracker showed everything still in progress. Wait till Monday morning, after that everything except oath should say completed in new tracker (that is what happened with me).

Generally, yes. ~ 2-3 months extra from what we have seen here.

they did not ask me for Passport copies, just fingerprint on Sep 14, 2021
since I became permanent resident I just travel to US for few days

I'm due to travel to the UK next month.

Do I simply inform IRCC after my trip the time I spent outside Canada?

I'm inbetween completing my test and the neverending wait for the next step.
