Hi all!
I gave my interview from outside Canada on 13/06/2022 and it went well. The agent said if I wanted to take oath from abroad I will have to submit proof and she provided me an email address to send the proof and explanation to for them to make the decision.
today I checked my tracker and it says oath has been scheduled for July 4th
What I’m wondering is this: should I continue down this road or just take a flight and come home for this? My PR card expires in August so that’s why I’m worried.
I also checked online and flights and hotels/airbnbs are over $10,000 so that’s also a factor here.
Hello fellow September 2020 applicants! I finally have my Canadian passport in hand!

As for the passport, I had booked an appointment the day after I received my citizenship certificate. The appointment was on June 2, 2022 at a passport office. It took me a total of 2 hours from arriving at the passport office to submitting everything. I received the passport on June 14, 2022 by mail. It took a total of 8 business days...which is not bad!
At first I thought of sending my passport application by mail, but the longgg waiting times were a bit terrifying! So I waited almost 1.5 months for my in-person appointment instead of sending it by mail.
