Hi all, are we supposed to receive a mail or email when they acknowledge receipt? The good thing is I am seeing people who submitted around my time receive theirs so I am hopeful that mine comes soon.

In the absence of a mail or email, how would one check the status online - is there a website specific to this? I have been logging into https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html but I am not sure that is the right place (or it is, I just dont have any updates.)

Neither! Been checking my spam folder as well.

You will get it by mail soon as there was a technical issue in their email in mid of December. This is what I was told when called IRCC.

Still waiting for AOR. Application was received on 04 September. Single applicant. Worrying about they will return my application. I saw end of September application received their AOR... Is their any way to get any update...

Still no AOR for me either. Application was delivered September 4. Been checking ECAS and my information could not be located. I checked today and it shows application received. Still no AOR though.

Do you per chance know if the Client ID number must be entered with the DASH in the middle of the number? Eg 1234-5678

Works with or without the hyphen.

Still no AOR for me either. Application was delivered September 4. Been checking ECAS and my information could not be located. I checked today and it shows application received. Still no AOR though.

Seems like they dumped our application somehwere in the corner and forgot about it.

I'm new at participating in the forum. But I've been reading this thread for a while.
So here's my information for everyone to know.

Application received: 23 Sep 2020
First line on ecas: TODAY! 22 Jan 2020

Family application (me and my husband)
Country of origin: Portugal
Living in Montreal
Physical presence: 1290

We had our application returned to us last August (after waiting 8 months from submission), because we did not have one! box ticked. It was hard to believe we did not see the little box after reviewing it so many times. And so frustrating that they returned it to us 8 months after, just because of that.

Hopefully, this time we get our AOR! Fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!

Quick question after my last post:

Today there's the first line "Application Received" for me. But when I try to check the status with my husband's name and birth date, it shows nothing. It's a family application (just me and him).
Is it normal that says Application received for me, and for him there's nothing?

I plan on calling them today.

Usually when you applied as a family if one application is incomplete the entire package is sent back. Seeing your application online is a good sign even if you cannot see your husband's application yet. Give it few days and check again I don't think your husband's application has any problem.

hello .. can anybody please inform me what we will see after the second line on ecas. please

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 28, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 16, 2020.

Just wait till mid of February and third line will be added as "we started processing your application ". Which city are you?
