Today it shows updated date as 17 Jan but still language test, prohibitions in progress as before. it shows 5 new updates with star mark. But looks like those are updates till now progress does anyone know reason? will status update soon?

Thank you for your wishes! The pigeon arrived 3 days late, my tracker was updated this morning that my Citizenship Ceremony was set to "In Progress" on the 25th November. I have been scheduled to attend the ceremony on December 14.

27 months of my life, this journey has changed me in ways I didn't think was possible.

Did you apply for the passport at a Service Canada center or at Passport Canada? Also did you use the express option?

I applied at a Service Canada and I did not use the express option. My local Service Canada Centre offers 10-business day processing and by the looks of it, it took them 5 business days from receiving the application to having the passport dispatched.

My background check changed to in progress at the begining of the year and also prohibition is still in progress but the rest in completed.
I still didn't get a 2nd finger print request (they asked me, for the first time), is that normal? anyone has similar experience?

Yes they've made it to couple of people, after finishing the interview the officer asks them do you want to do the oath now, anyway you'll be taking all the documents with you plus the PR, I really wish you that you do the oath on the same day.all the best let me know how it goes.
