I dont think so, lot of people got GU on that day. Recommended passed was happened on Feb 17th.

I was checking with US embassy for passport renewal for my daughter. following is the response they gave me. Please note the highlighted point.


Hello,

Thank you for your email requesting appointment for minor passport renewal services. Please be advised that due to high demand in passport services and the precautions in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are unable to offer you an appointment at this time.  Currently all our appointments for minor passports are filled until January 2021 and we have not opened our February appointments.  Your name has been added to our wait list and we will contact you should an appointment become available. 
 
If your U.S. passport request is because you have a pending Canadian immigration application, please see the Government of Canada’s webpage for guidance on how they are processing cases for applicants who cannot provide a valid passport due to COVID-19 related problems.

I think I am screwed!! This is regarding document request for my son - US passport renewal. I reached out to the Ottawa embassy and got this disheartening single line response "We will contact you as soon as we can for an appointment". I told them I have travel plans coming up but looks like they are not interested in expediting the process. I am now going to be stuck in this unknown phase

I am the principal applicant and my bio metrics are exempted. My wife is yet to give her bio-metrics in India. Is that the reason my ELIGIBILITY is not yet started?

No, if the biometrics are pending, then other stages will progress, only criminality will be pending. Most likely your application has not yet been worked on. However, since your AoR is September, your initial eligibility would surely have happened.

There must surely be a note from an assistant or analyst on eligibility. Send a webform (https://bit.ly/37xX2MG) and ask, or you can consider requesting your GCMS notes.
