Quick question - Can we raise a webform inquiring about the status of our application even if it hasn't reached the 6 months in processing mark yet? I called CIC and was told by the agent that my eligibility has been marked as 'passed'. I am not convinced however and would like to know more about it. Will raising a webform help?

· Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,

• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is in process.

Ask Today:

• our application currently meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid.

Does anyone know what's different between security background and criminal background ??

I got a reply after 3 weeks of submitting a webform

I guess you might get a response by next week. There seems to be delay in receiving response 2-3 weeks. business days

My case seems to similar to yours however previous biometric details are on profile but not updated in stages section. Is this same with you as well ?

Have you cross check what stage your application is in and VO office

I checked with IRCC agent mid-Nov and at that time, it was with Ottawa VO and Criminality - in-progress, Eligibility and Security - not started

Not by calling but raised webform and GCMS notes on 05-Dec, currently waiting for both ..
