At Canadian Fingerprints, their system had indicators to show when the message has been sent to RCMP, an acknowledgement that RCMP has received it, confirmation that it has been viewed, and whether or not it has cleared their database check; I was able to see all these before I left. They (Canadian Fingerprints) said they would send my information directly to CIC via email at the end of the day, while RCMP would send my information to CIC Vancouver via snail mail.
I was given a DCN number to quote in case I want to contact RCMP directly.
@sylvain1 Could you please update my location to Etobicoke. My processing office is Mississauga. Seems like i chose a bad time to update address from Toronto to Etobicoke since Mississauga office is super slow.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 19, 2019.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 6, 2019.
We started processing your application on January 9, 2020.
I have been going through the forum and I see that some folks have got request for finger prints. Here are my questions.
1. Does the finger print request show-up in the application status page or CIC would just send a mail/e-mail.
2. I have not received any mail/e-mail regarding the finger print request so far (Jan 9th, 2020 was the processing date). Does that mean that finger print is waived?

You can get Fingerprint request at any stage of your application. People have received it post test too. Regarding mail/email, it would be as per what you chose as your preferred method of correspondence. There wont be any specific mention of Fp on ecas. Ecas would have the mention that there was a correspondence sent out to you.
