Security will only start after eligibility is passed. The eligibility takes place in 2-3 stages. First a case analyst or assistant will review the documents and make a recommendation. Based on the recommendation the status of the eligibility will change to "Passed" / "Review Required"/ "Met" or not met. Then the officer will review the recommendation and make the final determination. Only after the final determination has been made, the security will be initiated.

Okay this helps. So met and passed don’t mean the same thing? I didn’t know that. Does this mean something’s wrong?

Any views from anyone here on why security isn’t started? How much longer? I know we can only speculate and can’t know for sure which is my reply to most people here as well but now I’m the one asking Cos I’m getting so impatient

As per your timeline, everything seems to be okay and your application is on track currently.

You're about to complete only 4 months. As per my understanding, you'll get your PPR in the 5th month for sure. Ottawa is one of the most active Visa Office these days and they're issuing PPRs within 5 months. Please be patient for another month, you'll hear the good news soon. I don't see any requirements of ordering GCMS notes. Good luck!

There is nothing wrong. Just wait for the eligibility to be approved by an officer.

Hi. I'm PNP-outland and my timeline is:
AOR Sep 5
Medicals passed Nov 18
Biometrics Nov 20
Visa processing centre - probably Sydney
Now my question is: due to a fact that medicals were passed 74 days after AOR do you think I should expect my application being processed longer than usual or it doesn't matter? Day 138 today. Also from what I've heard all the applications go to Sydney first (Centralized Intake Office) and then it moves to a local office. Does anyone know at which stage they move the files to a local office?

Hi. Can someone please help me out with this one!? Today I was trying to find my application status on the helpline. Even after entering the correct details I was shown an error that my application could not be found. I used this link and the same result https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

However I am able to see the status on my CIC page. Can someone help with this?

I have that issue also. Not a big deal. Just continue to press 0 to talk with an agent.

No word is normal, doesn't mean an issue. Most people don't hear anything until they get PR
