I have a small question....anyone having any idea on this, please assist
Last week I raised a web form and received a reply stating that
"The background verifications are not in process yet. The medical examination results on file are valid."
Does this mean that nothing has started in terms of eligibility, criminality and security?
I was thinking of calling CIC today and hoping to get an elaborated answer that what exactly is going on with the application, will calling be worth the time?
I have crossed 4 months mark but have not received any update after medicals, I didn't pay RPRF UPFRONT and they haven't even requested it yet...please guide

First of all a big Thanks for the idea. I really had no idea of calling IRCC and I did call them now. As somebody from our forum suggested to call at 8:40AM EST. I did the same and was able to connect. After a wait of 22mins...I heard the sweet lady saying:

APPLICATION IS APPROVED

Yeah.CIC generally processes applications with dependents/kids.

I am not sarcastic.Its observed that applications with dependents are approved quickly than single applicant applications.This is widely discussed in the forum.

wow, mid of march !! why they should wait for 2 months to send me a simple mail ! do I have to complete the 6 months ?!

Yes it could happen. Sometimes they would leave it until the very last minute of the processing time window to issue PPR.

How does ghost update look like

On the main screen the application status shows as "application/profile updated" otherwise it shows submitted. No updates in the details though..just a soft update . No email either

Ghost update : jan 18th 2018

Hi All. I spoke with an agent two hours ago. AOR 8th sept. Medical passed. eligibility is recommended pass. Criminality check passed but security not yet started. The lady informed me that they expect to complete my file by 6th of June 2019!! ( As per timeline 8th of march 2019) when asked why this delay she said 6 months is the average but 6th of June would be the maximum realistic time to be considered.

CIO in Sydney is processing the application. Sure I will update PPR as well.
But what the agent told me was that I will have to wait for some time to get the email for submission of passport.

Looks like it is taking longer than usual time for the emails to get triggered. Let's see. I am now in relaxed mode
