sent an email to CIC about background check. Got the following reply
Dear client,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry regarding the status of your application. Kindly note that your application is currently awaiting review. Criminality and Medical is "Passed" and Eligibility is "Met". At this point there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly. We trust that this information will be of assistance.


Please help in understanding what they meant by awaiting review..? Is it in d final stage to get approved..?

I am a regular reader of this forum and this is a great stress reliever during the atrocious wait!
I called up CIC just now and got the following information:
1.Eligibility - Recommended Pass
2.Criminality- passed
3.Security- Not started

AOR- 8 sep
MEP- 3 Oct
Ip2-20 Dec
FSW- O , Applying from India
Family of 3 including me.

Could the experts please let me know how close or how far are we ?

I have already called twice(last call was on 8 December)...first time the voice of the agent was not clear...second time agent was quite rude and she didn't tell anything...it's more than 100 days post aor...no update after meds passed...rprf also hasn't been requested yet...what should i do...should i call them again?

Do we understand it right that CSE is the same as an IRCC form? If yes, is it ok if we send it now - will they answer us if the official processing time isn't over? And don't you know how much time it takes for them to answer?

I would suggest you to order gcms notes to understand what’s going on with your application. There will be notes of the officer which will provide you detailed insights on your application

Hello Guys,
Does anyone has any experience with LA visa office? And any idea about how long do they take for PPR stamping?
I am just nervous since we are traveling on 7th February.
Our passports got delivered to them yesterday.

For whatever is worth: I've had experience with the LA visa office for a temporary resident visa I requested ~3 years ago, if I recall correctly it took ~3 weeks from the time I sent my passport 'til I got it back. Not the same as a COPR, but hopefully it helps to get an idea.
