No, there was no message alert to my email ID. I just logged into my account today so I saw the status - Medicals passed.
I therefore do not know exactly when Medical Pass was updated since I logged in to check after a week 4-5 days.

I submitted my express entry application at August 30 2018. My medical exam passed at end of September. At the same day, My back ground check became "we are processing your background check, we will send you message if we need more information". It looks like IP2, but, it dose not seem be possible to kip IP1. Any body in the same situation?

It happens all the time. IP1 and IP2 are made up terms and have no relevance to how cic works internally. So don’t read too much into those statuses.

I got medical passed but my background check is - Not Applicable.
So this is confusing for me too . But I have left it to update with time and we shall see whats next.
