Officially clocked 6 months on March 1st. Still stuck in Security Screening. With no hope of when it should be completed. My medicals expire next month. Somehow I'm moving on with my life. No PPR in sight. Looking like I have another 6 months to go. I guess I belong to that 20% CIC talks about.
I don't even visit this thread anymore because I can't relate any longer. Sucks!
I called this morning and apparently everything is good and I may have an answer at any moment. Eligibility and security almost completed. He said he didn’t see anything wrong. I’m so scared honestly

Unfortunately I don't have birth certificates for my wife and her sister. I had uploaded an affidavit last week from my father/mother-inlaw mentioning all their children and their respective spouse-names and also the thing about the sir-names in the passport I had mentioned in my query. do you think that should suffice?
It depends on the result if they invalidate your points for relatives.
In the scenario where you're deducted those points but you're still above cut-off, two options are possible. Either they'll request you for additional documents, or they'll just remove the points and move on.
In the scenario where you fall below cut-off for your round, you'll be informed accordingly and either requested to show more proof of relationship (ADR) or given a procedural fairness letter, stating that if you fail to provide proof of relationship, your application will have to be assessed as is.
But it all depends on the tolerance of agents/officers. Maybe what you've given them is enough, but I find it unlikely.

Then I'd strongly suggest you be pro-active, and not wait for them to request anything.
It's a critical element of your application, and should try to protect yourself from uncertainty as much as possible.
Move rocks and mountains to get ahold of your respective birth certificates.
Although there is always a possibility of everything being fine with what you've given them, you can't run the risk of waiting for them to ask for birth certificates, as they'll only give you a very limited amount of time to submit them. You're probably in a situation where it would take you quite some time, so I'd suggest you be pro-active.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it...
If they don't ask for anything, awesome! If they do, you'll be ready, and you'll just give them the birth certificates...
My question is to members of Sep AOR group, who have received COPR and visa stamped on their passports - What mandatory documents to carry for landing ?
- There is some form which needs to be filled mentioning what items we are bringing in Canada . Does anyone know where can I find this form ?
- Apart from passport and COPR, what document should one carry as proof of funds ? Will a recent bank issued letter suffice ?
- Any other mandatory documents ?
- Any questions one knows to expect when landing ?
