@Bandit Queen - OMG, I am so happy for you!!! As soon as I updated my information here on the blog, I left for work; hence did not see this until now. After a really long while, I had smile on my face while driving to work. . Now, to answer your question I got annex A only for me and not for the dependents. I am the primary applicant. They have asked to send the passports to Ottawa. Is that true for you too?

Yup, I confirmed and it's fine. I came here to post in the morning wondering about you and already saw your post from early morning. It did feel nice to see people who have been waiting finally getting it!!!! I hope all September folks get it very soon

Guys, I received my PPR email about an hour ago. Thank you so much for everyone on this forum who answered a lot of my questions. I'm sure going forward, I'll have even more.

For now happy to share the news with you all. All the best for everyone else patiently waiting for their Golden email.

I don't know how to upload the picture. The format looks unprofessional. In Step 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENT. It looks like this
2. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. See our specifications at www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf
Lot of blank space in between. Is it due to the web link? Do you guys see the same problem. Just want to ensure the authenticity. Still can't believe it I finally received PPR.

yes that's the email ID even I received from. If you receive an email then the format is bit distorted since this is a PDF message which is usually sent on the portal profile.

I received this email as a reply to a web form query and they mentioned that since they sent the email , my portal profile will not be updated with this message.

My only concern is Annexe A which needs to be sent along with the passports, is actually getting clipped when trying to print from this email message. Do you face the same issue ?

If our kids are USA Citizens should we still send their passports or just photocopies , as per email i see they just need photocopies

I am not sure about mailing the passport to Canada as well. We should be able to submit it here.

Question to US residents who received PPR today - How do we change VAC from Ottawa to LA or NY? As an Indian citizen, my passport doesn't allow sending the passport out of country of residence via mail. Also, what is the avg. processing time for LA and NY VAC for CoPR?

I applied under the FSW ; Residing in US; Indian citizen.

As far as submitting the passport is concerned, it might not matter. I think we should be able to send it to NY or LA VAC as well. I had submitted my passport to the local VAC in the US for Canada visitor visa a couple of years back. It would still get sent to Canada (Ottawa in my case). In my opinion, it is safer to mail it to the local VAC. Having said that, I know someone who had mailed it to Canada directly and had no issues.

Thank you. But I find it is weird, I heard inland people usually get landing interview instead of PPR.

I also got PPR for inland. Glad to see that I am not alone. Probably nothing to worry about.

Note: passport expiring in 3.5 Months .
Agent confirmed that i can still use this passport for stamping . She added that as long as i don't make any travel with this , its fine .
I am planning to do the landing procedure in Servcie-canda after stamping .

The instructions in PPR state that I have to send the passport to Ottawa. Are people not sending it directly to Canada? Why? and how are they able to change and send it to the VAC in states?

In one the posts on this forum, someone who was answering a similar question said , between US and Canada, sending & receiving passport should not be an issue even for Indian nationals. So, I am not sure how important or relevant it is for us to request that if passport can be sent to NYC LVO.

Having received PPR with instruction that passport need to be sent to Ottawa, I am interested to know pros/cons of going either ways.from folks who are in similar situation.

For those of you sending your photos, don't forget to write down your name and date of birth at the back of the photo!
It is part of the photo requirement but it is easy to miss. I just mailed mine without writing that on the back of my photo...
