Congratulations!!! Whats your visa office.
I think it is Ottawa because the letter says if I live in canada I should send my passport to CPC-Ottawa
Is background check and security check the same?
+1 613 944 4000 (outside Canada)
+1 888 242 2100 (inside Canada)
Thanks a lot!
I just called them and, after over 45 mins on the phone, a decent lady informed me that my application has been approved but they did not send me any emails yet and that they might not be sending one soon. According to her, it could take up to the end of the 6 months period, which is more than 2 months from now for me.
It seems very inconvenient but I think there nothing to do except waiting.
Hello guys,
I just got my application status by calling IRCC.
My AOR is September 29.
FSW
Online status: IP2
He told me that:
Eligibility in process,
Security not started yet,
Sydney office at the moment.
It looks like I will still have to wait for a long time.
Any insights?
Thanks and have a great day!
Hi Guys,
AOR 13 Sep / NS Office
I called CIC 10 days ago and the agent was nice person and told me congratulations that my profile is approved and I shall wait for the officer to prepare and send me the PPR email. now 10 days left and no PPR email neither any update at my profile.
I hear there's PPR rain now but I guess i'm not lucky enough
Does anyone knows when I shall receive it?
This just happened to me few minutes ago. Hopefully I won't have to wait for ten days!
Is background check and security check the same?
Security check is part of the background checks done.

Thank you very much. Sharing my timeline
AOR: 14/09/2018
MEP: 12/10/2018
BGC: IP2 since the medical passed.
GCMS notes shows eligibility met but security not started. Don't know how much more time it will take
Y'all who have confirmed your files approved but waiting for PPR should really try to be patient. I know that the wait is killing but imagine those who haven't even met eligibility or have met that but security not started.
Y'all are really lucky man!

Is there a chance that my application is refused during the state of eligibility in process?
I think no one has more doubts about the slowness nowadays regarding processing times, right??????
I remember few ppl advocating CIC was not slow and bla bla bla
Yeah man no doubt!
Thanks a lot!

How did you find out you are approved? Just asked to agent straight if you are approved?

Approved! Man I wish. Last call made to them on Monday or so and the agent said eligibility not started.
