Anybody (US resident) here who was told that your file was approved by CIC call center agent and did try to reach out the New york visa offfice as a followup regarding waiting for Passport request?

One of my friends file is also approved back in december waiting for PPR since then. He mailed NDVO as per batra but no luck

I sent an email to New Delhi VO last week, but that did not generate any PPR. Guess they stopped responding to such requests.

Nope they did it for my friend after contact batra i have asked my friend to contact NDVO he has a response saying we will forward your request to concerned VO

AOR Date - Sept 15
On Jan 2, I got a request to submit IMM5406. I submitted it. Did anyone else received this?

PS : Progress bar states Estimated completion date March 15.

I actually contacted New Delhi VO, and they immediately generated PPR. I contacted VFS in USA, and they said the PPR is internationally recognized and can be sent anywhere. They were totally OK to accept the passports. So I sent my passports to VFS LA, they received it and they have already sent it out to IRCC, and the status shows that it is in process.

That's good to know. BTW when did you email NDVO, I did on jan 12th and haven't heard since. What was the response time for you? I feel like NDVO has closed the loophole of responding to such queries and sending PPRs. You were the lucky ones.

Any advice on how to call cheaply to Canada from the UK? ive ordered my GCMS notes already but are still pending and not due any feedback until 9 Feb.
im way into my 4th month since submission and stuck with the status since I submitted my biometrics.

I was told my VO was Ottawa when I spoke to an agent in November.
ive not successfully recontacted since as end up being in a queue for 30 minutes.
Hopizng for a more detailed response with the CSE. ive had generic responses the past 3x I have submitted a query.

No, I actually sent them inquiry through web form. I received PPR email after couple of hours.

I sent an email on their email id and also sent another message through the web form (after 1 week) and I didn't receive a response.

Yea, my friend applied with me on the same day. She also emailed NDVO after I got PPR email from them. She also have not heard back.
Is your file approved though?

No, I actually sent them inquiry through web form. I received PPR email after couple of hours.

The email i recieved from NDVO doesnot have any letters associated.......did you sent the email with passport,pics to VAC LA...i am bit confused...as VAC NYC asked me i can send it to them...bt then i asked is it allowed then she said follow wats written on email.........email says to send it to Delhi...

I asked this question over phone to VFS, and also over chat to VFS. They said the letter that you have got is recognized internationally. So you can send it anywhere. So I sent it to VFS LA. They accepted it and have forwarded it to IRCC. The status says "Under processing at IRCC". I mean I also have doubts whether this is right course of action, but guess I will learn in sometime.

I included the the copy of my chat with VFS agent in my package though.

One more query...how do we get tracking number for VAC??in their consent form no place for email id ?

Yeah, file is approved. Atleast that's what the agent told me when I called IRCC back in December.
