Sorry to hear! Did you get your application fees refund? Hopefully they will accept your new application with the c6 rule and continue from there! Good Luck!
I got my application returned by mail even status said (application received)
The return is because i missed one day from the 4 years!!!!! Instead if 1,460 days, my actual calculations should have been 1,459 because I listed trips outside Canada separately!!!!
Sorry to hear that no one is perfect you.I have seen in the forum people getting application returned and reapply and their process went real quick. At least now you learn from your mistake and triple check everything good luck.
What happens is if you had a multiple country trip and you mention it separately on the form, the calculator counts it each as a separate trip and gives you one buffer day . The error here was that the trips were mention individually on the physical calculator form instead of just one combine.

Sorry, I don't follow. Are you saying if someone visited multiple countries on the same trip, they intentionally listed it as separate trips ?
Meaning if someone flies from country A to B, then B to C as part of the same trip, they listed that as two separate trips ? If so, that's not the right thing to do. The calculator asks to list it as one trip.
From the calculator:
"If you visited more than one country during the same absence, list the first country in 'Destination' and list the other countries in the 'Reason' field."

We have to keep our fingers cross throughout the process until the very last day of oath taking. Some applicants even get extra paper work to do after the test and that puts their application into NON ROUTINE process and it takes for ever.
July 1st 2012-July 9th 2012 to X country
July9th 2012 to April 8 2013 to Y country
I should have either do it like July 1 2012 to April 8 2013 (one trip rather than single) or change the second trip July 10 2012(instead of July9) to April 8 2013
That's the reason I have 1 day discrepancy
I will send my new application tomorrow and will update you guys

Only correct way is the first way - list one absence from July 1 to April 8, 'destination' is country X, in 'reason' list Y.
From the calculator:
"If you visited more than one country during the same absence, list the first country in 'Destination' and list the other countries in the 'Reason' field."
