same here. I live downtown, got IP on Oct 25th. Nothing after that. I called IRCC and they told me that my file was transferred to Mississauga on Dec 2nd and they have to allocate a test center/date. Not sure why it's taking so long as I feel my case is really simple!! I was thinking of applying for GCMS notes and see what is causing the bottleneck all of a sudden!

It's access to information. It contains a detailed record of each applicant’s file, including correspondence from and to IRCC, documents received from the applicant, detailed notes from the officers reviewing the file among others. I believe there is a small fee for requesting it and a 30 day waiting period.

It's not going to affect your application in any way as far as I know. All they are going to do is send you a document with all the information they have on your file. Its only 5 Dollars, but it will take a month to get this information from IRCC. The wait time is the only reason that is stopping me. I have asked people in this forum if they have requested the notes for citizenship application, but no one replied so far.

Well... This is weird... My husband and i applied together and we both took the test the same day... And his status at the ecas changed to DM and mine it's still IP... Same case??? Anyone???
my husband just got his test invite! wuhuuuuu! it showed up on ecas this morning, but no letter yet...
