My application was received at 16th, sep, but no ecas yet, is anything wrong with it?or get return?

They are currently reviewing apps received up to 10th September

my application was also received on the 16th. I am trying to call them but it says your call cannot be transferred to an agent due to high volume call. I am travelling out of Canada on Sunday for 6 weeks, and would like to inform them but i can't get through. how do you do that?

Ok, I did call them and spoke to a very nice gentleman. He checked and said there is no application currently for me with CIC, and i can leave any time without informing them. I said i don't want to be in any trouble if i come back and the RQ is waiting for me and in that case i would have only a few days to submit. He said in that case you just write a letter and ask for 30-45 days extension. I took his name and service id #.
I think i should be good...

For traveling outside Canada why do you need to tell CIC?
