Fort Errie canada post don't changed the status immediately specially if your package has no signature required.they will have to wait for the guy in new york to received it. this was also happened to me last december 2011 i did'nt put signature required it took 10days that my tracking status changed to "succesfully delivered"but it was okey afterall i received my passport with re-entry visa after 5weeks.

Hello everybody.. I am also having same problem. I sent an application in fort erie for my TRV. Imfollowed the instruction provided by buffalo cic. I used xpresspost with signature required, but when i tracked my item this morning it says " ATTEMPTED DELIVERY" does anybody know if somebody from the immigration will care to pick up my application in the post office? I am really getting crazy right now. I am leaving for a vacation in philippines this june 14 and i dont know if i can receive my TRV before my travel date.. I dont even know if my application will reach the buffalo office because my application is in the post office... Anyone with same situation like mine? Please help.... :( :( :( :(

Hi yes don't worry somebody from Buffalo will pick it up. It happened to me that way too.

Hi honeysweetie, thank you for the reply.. Just ctracked my application again and it says succesfully delivered. I have one more question... How long does it take before you received your TRV??Because i am just wondering if my TRV will make it before june 14th.... I am leaving for a vacation and i already booked my ticket.. How long did you wait for your TRV? Thank you sonmuch for the reply i appreciate it so much..
 
Just an Update, I just have my Passport today April 27,2012 with a visa stamp...Thanks to the staff of Buffalo consulate..taht was fast

hi killjoy here is my timeline for my TRV application thru Buffalo Cosulate office and I used the National Express Post.(cheaper tahn Fed ex) and without signature require.
SENT : April 9 @ Edmonton Postal
REC'Vd : April 12 @ Fort Erie ( status of tracking : Item processed at local delivery)
PASPORT SEND TO ME : April 25 from Fort Erie
PASSPORT REC'vd : April 27 , with visa stamp
TOTAL Days of processed : 13 days
