I am now working for a company, but in past for 2.5 years I was practicing the the courts of law in India. I was an independent self-employed lawyer. I don't have any invoices etc., as all the payment was in cash, since it was a small amount. Now I am required to provide proof that I was working as a lawyer. I saw on the website that for self-employed I need to have the following -
1. articles of incorporation or - I DON'T HAVE THIS
2. other evidence of business ownership, - I DON'T HAVE ANY PROOF OF THIS
3. evidence of self-employment income - I can produce Income Tax Returns from that time
4. documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details - GETTING IT FROM THE CLIENTS WILL BE TOUGH NOW AS MOST OF THEM WERE ILLITERATE

Your enrollment certificate is your article of incorporation, You must be having colleagues who can write on their letter head that they have professional relation with you and your office is open from x no of hours and 5 days a week. Any one client can also write a reference letter for you including hours, job duties and days. Further, all collect documents from the company u are working with eg your pay slips, reference letter etc. Your ITR and Form 16 are also important. .

Could you please elaborate on the topic? what documents did you submit to prove ur experience as a self employed lawyer? Were you applying under express entry?
Can you please explain what documentation from third-party individuals did you upload?? If that was letters from clients, how many of them did you upload for one year of experience?
Guys I'm also an independent advocate and I have the same query that how can I show my experience and income proof for express entry. Please respond as soon as possible.
