I got this email too. So on the bright side at least we got communication . Our applications are alive.

Today I got an e-mail from the IRCC.
They gave me a temporary application number and said that the application is received and it is queued for processing.
The letter says:

"Application received
We confirm that your application is received and in queue for review. No information or action is required from you at this time. Please note that this letter does not confirm your application is in process. "

I guess it's a good news... I have sent the application on 23 October 2020.
Any of you out there got the same?

Not 100% sure, but I think so yes. Acknowledgememt of Receipt of the application, but they haven't started processing them yet.

This is not the typical AOR and your documents have not been checked for completeness yet.
But that IS some kind of progress.

I applied for a temporary work permit in November 2019, passed medical in May 2020. Up till now my application has not moved an inch. I filled an online web form but got no response from cic. Is IRCC still responding to enquires on web form?

I meant going forward... can I assume that when I do get AOR, the completeness check has been done, which means that I qualify for the stream? Then they will assess whether to grant me approval for the visa or not?

We also just got this AOR email, as the others did. Very exciting, even though it’s only the first step

I'm very optimistic now even if it's not the actual AOR. but eventually, we know that they've got our papers. right?
