Has anyone who has got a permanent AOR had any communication since that wasn’t biometrics request?
I have not
I was wondering this as well, and also what the timeline was like after biometrics for those who applied earlier in 2020. Now that I finally have AOR I’m getting antsy
Any status updates from anyone who applied earlier in 2020? Or does anyone want to update us on their timeline so far?
This is my timeline so far -
12/24/20 - Application received
01/15/21 - Temporary AOR
05/12/23 - Permanent AOR
05/12/23 - Biometrics Requested
05/16/23 - Biometrics Received
Current progress says reviewing eligibility and background check in progress (My FBI check was submitted in 2020 so I’m not sure whether they will still accept it).
I do not think there has been any movement since biometrics. We received AOR on 4 Jan 2023, applied 26 July 2020, did not have to give biometrics, was already on file from previous CA visa. There have not been any movement on our timeline.

Hi
I had a two-week trip to Canada and I went to the immigration office with one of my friends and there I found out that all the cases are suspended.
also my friend who was even waiting for his citizenship was very upset.
So it is better to wait hopefully ، I think⚘

They don't really care about us

ALL cases? I’ve seen movement on some start up visas and others. Do you mean all self employed visas are suspended? That would be really odd.
Wow! I can’t believe how they seem to just neglect this category. I never would have even applied if I knew processing time would increase to almost 4 years!
I’m really hoping someone here gets some good news/movement soon to give the rest of us some hope!
Hi
I am reporting new updates from our group again:
applicant from 2021/04 received AOR days ago
one painter from 2020/08 received ppr yesterday
one graphic designer from 2020/06 received ppr today
I will keep updating if this helps. Please let me know, hang in here our time will come.

Very helpful, thanks for sharing! It’s good to see there is some progress in this stream

I just checked my application and it’s been updated today to include this message -
“Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.
About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.
If you aren't seeing updates, contact us using this . Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to.”
Did anyone else get this message when their completion bar hit 100%?
I’m just wondering if it’s generic or specific to my application being “more complex”

It’s generic, to avoid people contact them when the bar hit 100% and no decision made. No one will get a decision within the original timeframe showing in the bar. That is just 29 months ahead of everyone’s submission month. Means nothing these days.

Thank you! I knew the completion bar part was inaccurate & that people were getting messages about applications taking longer to process than usual, but the part about “20% of applications being more complex” was what got me a bit worried haha

Mine has said the same thing for the last month and a half. And no updates.
